Can you give an example of how faith in God made an impossible thing possible?

Once something miraculous happens, it is obviously possible.
So faith in God never makes something impossible possible.
With God, all good things are possible.
But let me give you one example of how my faith made something extraordinarily unlikely to happen (perhaps “impossible” by the standards of science) to actually happen.
It was a Sunday in October of 1974. I was a missionary in Hiratsuka, Japan.
After church, my companion, Elder Yoshimura, and I got on our bikes and started riding towards the area we had been tracting. Halfway there, something told me to turn around. I ignored the feeling, thinking it was me simply not wanting to go knock on door after door and hear “Kekko desu” (“That’s splendid!” meaning “No thank you.”) again and again.
But the feeling kept coming back stronger and stronger. So I called out to my trailing companion “We need to turn around.” I could almost hear my companion rolling his eyes asking “So what has Elder Whittle forgotten this time?”
And I was as puzzled as he was. I was actually embarrassed at not having any reasonable explanation for my companion. In fact, I had no idea where we were going - I just somehow knew that we needed to turn around. And then I just somehow knew we needed to turn left. And then for 10 minutes, I just knew where to go one step at a time until we pulled up to a home not even a mile from the church where we had started.
Knocking on the door and calling out “Gomen nasai!” I again felt embarrassed. I had no idea what to expect - my saner self was questioning my sanity for listening to my inner voice, even though I had a strong belief that God would communicate to anyone willing to listen through His Holy Spirit.
And the lady who came to the door was visibly and genuinely surprised, perhaps even shocked to see us. She asked us to wait, went to an adjacent room, and returned quickly to usher us into a room where her blind husband was seated at a kotatsu, with a huge Bible nearby that was obviously Braille. He graciously invited us to join him.
He then told us one of the most amazing things I’ve ever heard. He said that he had been reading the Bible that morning, and had read about Jesus healing the blind, and had offered up a prayer, if what he had read was true, that God would send a messenger to teach him about Jesus Christ.
I’m sure most people reading this will either disbelieve my story, or consider it to be an incredible coincidence, unable or unwilling to acknowledge the causal connection between Kuroki-san’s prayer and the promptings I felt that led us to his home.
The faithless will probably dismiss my story as “impossible” without investigation, just as they dismiss the resurrection and miracles of Jesus as “impossible” and thus unworthy of investigation. And that’s their right. Any true scientist, however, would find Kuroki-san in Japan (if he or his wife are still alive, and perhaps their two sons if the parents have passed) and Wayne Yoshimura in Hawaii and ask them about this. I haven’t talked with them about it since late 1973, so if our stories match (but not precisely, since actual historical narratives never match up in every detail), then you would have a documented miracle.
For me, it’s enough to know what I know about what I experienced. My memories about it are clear and still vibrant because it was so extraordinary from start to finish. My faith in God made the impossible possible.
